Dear U.S. Permafrost Colleagues and Organizations

There are growing interests in scientific and engineering questions related to permafrost. These heightened concerns reflect observed and potential responses of permafrost terrains and structures to global warming. Frozen Ground, the News Bulletin of the International Permafrost Association (IPA), provides details of permafrost activities at the international level and a glimpse at U.S. activities.

Currently, our annual membership cost is $10.00 for a Student, $30 for Regular membership, and $100 to $1000 for Corporate and Institutional members. For those individuals that want to provide greater support for our programs, we also have a Sustaining Membership at $250 a year and a Lifetime Membership for $1,000; both include recognition in all USPA materials and future meetings.
